In May of 2021 we got a new puppy whom Halo named, Teddy. He has brought so much joy into our lives that Halo and I thought it would be a good idea to share our experiences with the world.  Halo said, "Let's write a book about Teddy". That's how Welcome Home Teddy was born! We can't wait to share more of their adventures in this 5 part series book collection.

Sheron Banks and Halo Marbury are a grandmother and granddaughter duo, who started writing Welcome Home Teddy during the pandemic of 2020. As part of Halo's virtual school writing assignment, Sheron thought writing a book would be a great way to get Halo more engaged in the writing process since writing was a challenge for her.  Halo immediately knew the topic would focus on our new puppy, Teddy.  From planting a garden to writing books these two have found creative ways to keep learning fun while spending time together.  "It's a blessing to share these experiences with my granddaughter," said Sheron. 

Halo is an elementary student who loves books. She reads daily, sometimes for hours with her mom Amber Banks. They enjoy reading their favorite series; Zoey and Sassafras to each other therefore, writing was a natural progression for Halo to get involved in. 

Sheron is an entrepreneur with over thirty years in accounting and financial services experience. She is the grandmother of six and the owner of Nelson Banks Financial, an insurance and consulting firm in suburban Atlanta.
